Mortars and cement bags still surround the rath in Magherareagh, marking a failed attempt to make the ancient earth wall into a modern boundary. The field holds a circular scar rather than a building, suggesting people once drew a line around sacred or owned ground instead of raising rooms. That abandoned concrete ring now frames the rath like a vice, trapping human arrogance around a older shape that refused to become a house.
