What is recorded here

Maddydrumbrist still holds the buried line of a Rath, though no wall stands above the soil to mark it. The name preserves a boundary someone drew before written record, likely around a home, herds or sacred ground. That much has been lost, but the shape of the claim remains: a place important enough to name, defend and remember.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
