RATH in Lisconnan

RATH

What is recorded here

Lisconnan still holds the broken circle of a Rath, marking the area where people once drew a boundary around their own lives. The stones have scattered, but the shape remains visible in the land, inviting imagination about the families, fears and daily routines that filled the space.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
