What is recorded here
RATH is a fortified place in County Down, Ireland, preserved under a name so old it predates Christian time. The land itself remembers the shape of the wall, even when the wall has vanished. A person who walks there at dusk may still feel the edge of the rampart beneath the grass, not as fact but as bodily knowledge. The site resists explanation because it belongs to an era when people built with the body before they wrote with symbols.
