RATH in Ladyhill, County Antrim, remains an unmarked point on the official map, stripping the stones of their name and history. The land may have been a crowded hall, a forgotten shrine or a child's climbing pit when humans first touched it. Such is the cruelty of record-keeping: it erases the very life that gave the place its shape.
