RATH in Glenlevan

RATH

What is recorded here

RATH in Glenlevan, County Fermanagh, is an earthen circle from before Christ, still holding the shape of hands that stopped running and sat down. The valley gave up its clarity for a moment, and someone built a boundary around the feeling instead of explaining it. That much difference between a field and a chamber is the whole of history.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
