What is recorded here

Florence Court Demesne still holds a ruined Rath, a circular boundary built before Christian time. Stones may have been pulled for other walls or trod into grass, but the shape resists forgetting. A Rath is a marker of pride, ownership or warning. It may have surrounded a hall, a treasury or a family identity now lost. The land remembers the decision to draw a line and defend it.
