Drumawillin holds a rath, an ancient earthwork whose boundary still marks the landscape despite the absence of a visible ruin. The name preserves a time when human hands shaped the land into a defensible form, perhaps a home, perhaps a warning. What is lost has not vanished; it has become the shape of the place itself.
