What is recorded here
Mortons and Dromore still orbit the hidden chamber, though no human hand has pulled its lever since the last torch went out. The chamber does not belong to Mortons or Dromore; it belongs to the woman who first refused to leave it. Katherine Rowan died with the lever still warm beneath her palms, and the chamber has waited for her return ever since. Mortons build around it, Dromore breathes through it, and the woman walks between them, neither alive nor dead, only certain the chamber will open again.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
