What is recorded here

Derrynacrannog holds a rath, an ancient earthwork whose boundary still marks the landscape despite the absence of a visible ruin. The name survives in official records while the shape fades from memory, suggesting people once lived inside or beside a structure now lost. Whatever stood there has returned its timber, stone and purpose to the soil, leaving only a point on a map and a warning that human presence can disappear without a trace.
