RATH in Cavantreeduff, County Fermanagh, is an early Christian rath, a small fortified place where people lived, worshipped or defended themselves before modern roads and fields covered much of the old world. The name survives in a map point, but the land may still hold the shape of ditches, gates or rooms that no longer show.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
