RATH in Ballyhill Lower

RATH

What is recorded here

Mutton and bacon at a small kitchen table, not a restaurant stage. A woman cooked for her family and neighbours, and the room smelled of fat, onion and black tea. Children ran past the door while men argued about football outside. The food was ordinary, but it was also love made visible.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
