What is recorded here
Ardbrin in County Down contains a rath, an earthen fortress or dwelling enclosure that still marks the landscape. The name survives even though the official record offers no further detail about when it was built or who lived there. A rath is not a vague shape but a made boundary, a place where people drew a line around their own life. That much is enough to remember it.
