What is recorded here

Raitcastle is a Highland findspot where medieval gilt and copper alloy strap fittings surfaced, suggesting a lost saddle, bag, or harness once belonged to someone who moved through that country with purpose. The gold tint on one fitting implies pride or rank, while the plain copper piece reminds us that most of what gleamed has rotted, been stolen, or sunk into soil. Perhaps a rider dropped them during a storm, or a household discarded them when fashion changed. Either way, the strings and leather are gone, but the small metals still catch light like a promise kept across centuries.
