Rabbit Bank is a possible Post Medieval warren inside Powis Castle Park, where kept rabbits may have run in shallow ditches rather than wild fields. The name suggests ownership, hunger and control, not ordinary countryside. A person may have tended the bank, listened for movement and taken only what the castle needed. The distinction between a wild animal and a owned one still lives in the shape of the land.
