Proncy Castle stands as a turf-hidden stone tower above an older earthen motte in Highland, Scotland, marking lands granted by Hugo Freskyn to Gilbert de Moravia around 1211. Its rectangular foundation still rests at the mound’s centre while a faint ditch and broken wall hint at the defensive ring that once guarded the ridge. The site preserves a layered life where human hands shaped earth, stone and boundary before time smoothed the edges into quiet grass.
