What is recorded here
Powis Castle Lodge stands on Park Lane as a twentieth-century gatekeeper to the castle estate. Its modern shape suggests it appeared when the grounds needed a clearer boundary between private land and public road. The lodge may have marked the moment a carriage or car first entered the castle world, transforming an ordinary lane into a threshold.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Powis Castle Lodge; Park Lane Lodge as Lodge from the Modern; 20th Century period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
