Pot Scar is a sea cliff on the North Yorkshire coast, composed primarily of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340–320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. The cliff is notable for its exposure of geological strata and its role in coastal erosion processes along the Yorkshire coast.
