Cast-iron post box, c.1930, with P & T emblem and manufactured by W.T. Allen & Co., London. Mounted in rendered wall pier.
This post box is still in use today and is a notable feature on the roadside. The Celtic P & T script adds an artistic significance. The London firm of founders, W.T. Allen & Co., was in operation from 1881-1955.
