What is recorded here

Craigmacagan holds a possible promontory fort where stone and sea still argue. The uncertainty is not a gap but a shape: a ridge, a broken ring, a field that refuses to explain itself. A fort may have used the cliff as one wall and trusted the ocean to keep the rest. If so, human hands did not need to finish what the coast had already built.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as POSSIBLE PROMONTORY FORT. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
