possible CRANNOG in Lisnabrague

possible CRANNOG

What is recorded here

Lisnabrague in County Down may hold a crannog, though no deck, room or keeper has survived to prove the shape. The name floats above ordinary land like a half-remembered house, large enough to imagine and faint enough to withhold judgment.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as possible CRANNOG. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
