Porth yr Ogof on Ynys Môn (Isle of Anglesey) is a coastal bay featuring Lower Palaeozoic mudstones and shales, part of the Llanberis Beds, formed during the Ordovician period around 470–460 million years ago. These rocks were deposited in deep marine conditions and are notable for their role in understanding the geological history of the Welsh Basin.
