What is recorded here

Porth Hellick is a bay on the island of Tresco in the Isles of Scilly, characterized by coastal rock formations primarily composed of Tertiary basalt. The basalt formed around 50 to 60 million years ago through volcanic activity, and the area is notable for its well-preserved columnar jointing and historical association with ancient settlements and tinworking.
