Portadown Railway Station

Portadown Railway Station has moved twice since 1842, returning to its present Woodhouse Street location in 1970 after earlier shifts in 1848 and 1863. That repeated displacement suggests the town itself kept adjusting to the railway rather than the railway fitting the town. Today nearly a million people pass through its three platforms each year, carrying forward a place that never stopped learning where it belonged.
