Port Hanais

Bay

What is recorded here

Port Hanais is shown as a bay on the public map of Argyll and Bute. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Port Hanais consists of steep sea cliffs and coastal rock formations composed primarily of Devonian sandstone. These cliffs were formed through sedimentation and subsequent uplift during the Variscan orogeny, and are notable for their exposure of ancient sedimentary layers and their role in the coastal geomorphology of the region.
