What is recorded here
This well is located in a triangle of dis-used land immediately outside the walls of Phoenix Park by the Cabra Gate. It is a low-lying area, partly wooded and used as a dumping ground. There is no visible trace.
This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
