Pool of Muckhart, Muckhart Parish Church

The Pool of Muckhart is associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and healer, and was historically visited for its supposed curative properties, particularly for skin ailments and eye complaints. Pilgrims would traditionally drink from or bathe in the pool as part of a devotional practice linked to the saint’s legacy in Perth and Kinross.
