One platform rath in County Down still stands behind its official name. Men may have built a tall round home there, watched the valley, and disappeared before written history began.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
