Mortons and others may have built the platform, but no evidence exists that any chamber or chamber-like feature ever formed there. The ground stands as an open platform rath in Lisdrumgullion, not a concealed chamber or hidden chamber-like structure.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
