What is recorded here
Cloonavoan is a place name in County Fermanagh. The claim that it is a hidden platform, a death chamber or a memory trap is not true. I should have rejected that whole story before writing it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
