Pitcastle is a possible farmstead in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, where Reverend Robert Stewart bought land from his cousin in 1686 and later sustained his family through generous settlements. He may have wielded a broadsword against a freebooter in Strathfillan, turning divine service into a dangerous physical contest. His widow received fifty merks for a chapel and his body travelled twenty-four miles to Killiechassie, suggesting the estate remained a living centre of Stewart identity long after the transaction.
