New Stable Court stands beside Picton Castle in Pembrokeshire, a Post Medieval structure built to hold horses and support the household that lived above them. The separate court suggests the castle needed room for movement, keeping animals clear of human chambers while still within reach. It is a practical answer to a large house, where even noble life depended on horses, feed and space.
