Pettigo Plateau Nature Reserve

Pettigo Plateau became a national nature reserve in 1984 and covers about 900 hectares. The land once formed part of the Leslie estate. Two families lived there in the middle of the 1800s, and the remains of cottages, cultivated ground and an old track still hold that human history within the bog landscape.
