Pen y Bedw rises to approximately 440 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Carneddau range in the Snowdonia National Park. It is composed primarily of volcanic rhyolite and is a popular destination for hillwalkers due to its proximity to the main Carnedd Llewelyn massif.
