What is recorded here
Patrick J. Carley was born in County Roscommon, Ireland, in 1866, a green landscape that later became the hidden root of a Brooklyn construction empire. He left that place at seventeen, carrying young muscle and hunger into American ports, then built firms, hospitals and congressional power from the distance between memory and marble. The county does not appear on his office plaque, but it supplied the boy who refused to stay small.
