Parc Castell is a medieval defended enclosure in Pembrokeshire, where an earthwork still marks the boundary of a place built to keep people out or hold them inside. The name suggests a castle park, yet no standing castle is listed, only the buried line of exclusion. Maybe a family lived within that circle while danger passed outside, or maybe the earthwork itself was the warning. Either way, the ground remembers the shape of fear and the hands that dug it.
