St Ninian's Parish Church in Paisley is linked to St Ninian, an early Christian saint traditionally associated with the conversion of the Picts and the establishment of Christianity in southern Scotland. St Ninian is said to have founded a church at Whithorn in the 5th century, and his name is often connected with early Christian sites across the region, including those in Renfrewshire.
