Old Keig

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Old Keig as Recumbent Stone Circle (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Old Keig is a Neolithic or Bronze Age recumbent stone circle, likely dating to between 2500 and 800 BCE. Such circles are thought to have had ceremonial or astronomical functions, possibly linked to seasonal or ritual practices in prehistoric Scottish society.
