This green commemorative plaque records: The Old Brewery Built in three stages by Edward Stevens and his son in 1831, 1838 and 1877. Production ceased in about 1912 after it had been taken over by Morgans Brewery of Norwich Recorded plaque organisation: Watton Society.
Edward Stevens was a prominent local brewer who established the Old Brewery in Watton; his contributions to the brewing industry in Norfolk were significant, marked by the expansion and development of the brewery across three distinct phases.
