Ogscastle marks a set of unassigned pits in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The exact purpose and date remain unknown, but the holes suggest people worked the land hard enough to leave scars behind. Perhaps they dug for clay, coal or water, or simply made room for life. The ground keeps that much of the truth buried.
