Ogham stone (present location) in Unknown Townland

This is the present location for the ogham stone from Ballinvoher Co. Kerry (KE045-105----). It is reported to have been found in the townland of Ballinvoher but no such townland exists. It may have come from, or near, Ballinvoher graveyard in the townland of Rathduff (KE045-025001-) where there are two other ogham stones. The stone, 1.22m high x 0.47m x 0.10m, has the following inscription (Macalister 1945, 160; McManus 1997, 65): COIMAGNI MAQI VITALIN which may be translated as 'of Cóemán son of Vitalinus'. (Cuppage 1986, no. 794) This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies.
