An ogham stone from Ballyknock North now stands in the Stone Corridor at University College Cork, bearing the worn but clear name ANM MEDDOGENI. It joined fourteen others recovered from a hidden underground passage inside a ringfort, suggesting a deliberate burial rather than casual loss. Meddogen may have been a local leader, a forgotten craftsman, or merely a person whose identity mattered enough to cut into rock before darkness took the place.

One of 15 ogham stones found in a Man-made underground passage (CO055-007003-) in a ringfort (CO055-007001-) at Ballyknock North, Co Cork (see CO055-007017-) and currently on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork. The inscription is in fine scores, worn but clear. It was read by Macalister (1945, 92, no. 95) and McManus (2004, 18, no. 13.) as ANM MEDDOGENI.
