Underground at Ballyknock North, fifteen ogham stones waited inside a ringfort passage, but this one now stands in the Stone Corridor at University College Cork. Its broad face carries COVALOTI or C[O]VALUTi, set on a sinister angle rather than a smooth central line. That tilted placement suggests a hand marking the stone for someone who knew its hidden purpose.

One of 15 ogham stones found in a Man-made underground passage (CO055-007003-) in a ringfort (CO055-007001-) at Ballyknock North, Co Cork (see CO055-007018-) and currently on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork. The inscription is on the sinister angle of one of the broad faces. It was read by Macalister (1945, 92, no. 96) as COVALOTI and by McManus (2004, 17, no. 10.) as C[O]VALUTi.
