Knockshanawee is a ringfort where six ogham stones lay hidden inside a man-made underground passage. This is the eighth lintel, broken at the top, preserving only COLLI or COLLOS depending on the reader. It is not a display monument but a buried threshold, marking a place where people went down instead of looking up.

This is the present location of one of six ogham stones found in a Man-made underground passage (CO072-078002-) in a ringfort (CO072-078001-) at Knockshanawee, Co Cork (see CO072-078008-). This stone (1.8m; 0.8m x 0.25m), the eighth lintel, is missing its top. The surviving part of the inscription is given by Power (1932, 24, no. 28) and McManus (2004, 15, no. 3) as COLLI, and by Macalister (1945, 116, no. 117) as COLLOS.
