A damaged limestone pillar stands in the south transept of the cathedral in Ardfert, its edge carrying a broken Ogham inscription that resists full reading. The stone measures 1.56 metres high and was found in a field opposite the former protestant church, suggesting it marked a boundary, a burial or a claim before human memory faded. Its surviving letters, CTAN and QLOG, hint at a name lost to time, while the stone itself endures as a witness to the place.

This stone (1.56 high; 0.28m by 0.19m wide) was found in a field opposite the site of the former protestant church (see KE020-046029-). It is currently on display in the south transept of the cathedral. The stone is a badly damaged limestone pillar with the inscription on one edge. The decipherable letters read 'CT[A(?)]Ṇ[ ̣ ̣ ? ̣ ̣]/QLỌG̣[ ̣ ̣ ? ̣ ̣]' (Macalister 1945, 132-3).
