Ogham stone in Glebe (rathvilly By.)

This is a granite stone (H 0.78M; Wth 0.3m; T 0.22m) with a very weathered ogham inscription on the lower part of the SE corner and possible faint traces of a cross on the W face. Macalister (1945, 18, no. 15) suggests that his reading . . . RENI may be the end of a name such as MAQI-TRENI. Harbison (1991, 181, No. 11) noted a possible second ogham stone (see CW009-028010-), now lost, at Clonmore.
