St. James Church in An Daingean lost the fragment after it left the stream bed beside the parochial school. Macalister read ETORIGAS on the surviving stone and wondered whether AVITORIGAS had been chipped away. The completed name may have identified a person, a family or a claim forgotten before the church itself was built.

A fragment of an ogham stone was found in the bed of a stream which runs past the parochial school of Dingle (Macalister 1945, 171-2). It was later removed to St. James Church but is now missing. Macalister recorded the following inscription: .....ETORIGAS He suggested AVITORIGAS as a possible restoration. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
