Norwood Castle is a substantial Norman motte and bailey castle located one hundred metres north of Dean Farm in Wiltshire. The raised mound would have supported a wooden or stone keep, whilst the outer bailey provided space for domestic and military functions during the eleventh or twelfth century. The earthwork still stands in relatively good condition, preserving the shape of that early medieval defensive structure.
