Two earth ridges cut across Castleton Rigg, preserving a boundary or barrier built before written memory. The monument status protects that ancient line, yet it does not guarantee entry or explain whether the builders feared wolves, marked pasture, or kept something better hidden. Stormy Hall stands six hundred metres away, human and reachable, while the dykes remain unnamed and untouched.
