The *Nitedal* was a Norwegian motor ship lost in 1942 during World War II after striking a mine in the Atlantic near Tongue Bay, Scotland. The vessel was carrying a cargo of timber, and its loss contributed to the many shipping casualties of the Battle of the Atlantic.
